Data deletion
How to ask us to delete your data, what we delete, what the law makes us keep, and how long it takes.
How to ask
Studio owners and studio staff
Email support@centra.studio from the address on your account, with “Delete my data” in the subject. Say whether you want your own account deleted or, as a studio owner, the whole studio’s account. If you are closing a studio, we can export its data for you first.
Team members
Ask the studio you work with to remove you, or email support@centra.studio. Because your work records belong to the studio, we tell the studio and carry out the request with it.
A studio’s clients
If you are a couple, a family or a company that booked a studio, please contact your studio first: it decides what is kept about you, and it can ask us to delete it. You can also write to support@centra.studio; we pass your request to the studio within 7 days and tell you we have done so.
People who reached a studio through WhatsApp or a Facebook or Instagram lead form
These features are planned and not available yet. When a studio turns them on, ask the studio, or email support@centra.studio with the phone number or email address you used, and we will handle it as for a studio’s client. You can also remove Centra’s access in Facebook (see below).
Meta can also send us deletion requests directly when someone removes Centra in Facebook. Centra cannot receive those automatic requests yet; until it can, please email us as above.
What we delete
- your account and profile details, and your sign-in;
- your Google Calendar connection: the token is revoked at Google and deleted from our database;
- calendar sync records held for you: Centra keeps no list of the Google events it wrote, and the times your studio’s shoots and calls were last synced are deleted with them. Events already in your calendar stay there until you delete them;
- the client, project and team data held for you or for the studio being closed, and its files;
- when those features are in use: WhatsApp messages, phone numbers, delivery statuses and opt-in records, and lead form answers, held for you;
- records of AI use tied to you.
What we keep, and why
- Invoices, receipts and payment records. Indian GST law requires these to be kept (up to eight years). We keep only what the law needs.
- Signed agreements and the audit trail around them, where they are needed to settle or defend a legal dispute, for as long as that need lasts.
- Copies we do not control. Our email provider keeps delivery logs for 30 days, and Meta keeps WhatsApp messages for up to 30 days. These expire on their own.
When we finish, we tell you what was deleted and anything we kept, with the reason.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and give you a reference number.
- We may ask you to confirm it is you, so nobody can delete someone else’s data.
- We aim to complete deletion within 30 days, and always within 90 days, the limit the DPDP Rules set.
- We confirm by email, quoting your reference number.
Removing Centra’s access yourself
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and sign in.
- Choose Centra from the list of connected apps.
- Choose to remove its access. Centra can no longer sign you in with Google or write to your calendar.
Whoever connected Google Calendar can also disconnect it inside Centra, under Integrations: that revokes the token and deletes it from our database. Removing access at Google stops future use, but our stored copy of the token stays until you disconnect in Centra or ask us as above.
Facebook and Instagram (when a studio has connected them)
- In Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Open Business Integrations.
- Find Centra, choose Remove, and tick the option to delete posts, photos and videos if offered.
WhatsApp (when a studio uses it)
Tell the studio you no longer want its WhatsApp messages, or block its number in WhatsApp.
Contact and complaints
Email support@centra.studio. Our grievance officer is [Grievance officer’s name — to be added], [Grievance officer’s designation — to be added], [Registered office address — to be added]. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can then complain to the Data Protection Board of India, which works as a digital office and takes complaints online (the DPDP Act asks you to raise it with us first). How we handle data generally is in the privacy policy.
